Album magazine advert analysis

The advert above is for the foo fighters album: wasting light. The use of the star ratings are effective as it emphasises how good the album is which persuades people to purchase it. As well as this, the fact that they are promoting the album as: "the number 1 album in the world" also suggests its a great album, which is then furthered by the amount of countries that the advert states it is being sold in. This shows that the band are very succussful as they are well known throughout various countres throughout the world. Furthermore, the use of the band members faces helps fans recognise that this is a foo fighters album. Also, the advert includes the credits for the production and distribution companies at the bottom of the page, which is very useful as it shows the audience who the band is signed to. furthermore, the band promote their album further by including their official website where fans can purchase the album, as well as their twitter and facebook accounts so that fans can keep up to date with the latest news about the band.
