CD Cover + Poster Update
The tiles on the CD album cover have a flowing theme within the album. The main picture is of Gingerbread men being bullies as the main image, we followed this theme and we also created a second image of the gingerbread man bully victim and this would be on a seperate album.

Video Update

Today, we have been editing our video using the programme: Final Cut Pro. we had previously edited most of our video but due to some of the video footage being slightly poor, we had to go out last week to re-shoot some of our shots which meant we had to remove the previous shots from the timeline and replace them with the new footage we had. Also, now that we had the footage that we recorded using green screen, we were able to edit it into the video in order to begin to finalize the editing for our music video. we anticipate to have our video finalized by thursday.Above is an image of Final cut pro. It shows the timeline where the footage is place and edited, there is also the timeline preview where you can watch your production and make the changes on the timeline if necessary. Allong the side is where the video clips we have filmed can be located and can be cut, edited and dropped onto the timeline anywhere.

CD cover analysis Three days grace life starts now album

This CD cover is typical of a rock genre as it conveys aggression which can be a main emotion given of by this genre. The cover shows 2 figures with blacked out faces smashing electornic equipment with baseball bats. Where the devices break they have crows flying out showing that rock is also an art form not just anger. The colours are very contrasting with black and pink making the image stand out from the cover. They put the titile of the band and the title of the album at the top of the cover to bring focus on who it is and the graphic they used on "three days grace" is the writing that fans of the band recognise and ascociate with them.
CD cover Research

Album: IOWA
Artist: Slipknot
upon looking at this album artwork it is quite peculiar as the image displayed on the front of the album is a goat.
The picture is very dark; this dark imagery would appeal to the target audience of rocker teenagers and young adults.
I believe the choice of a goat was to try and do something weird and unusual to make the album cover something memorable.
The image of the goat is quite complicated with its different colour layers it almost makes it hard to distinguish what the image is showing.
The text font is quite rugged but isn’t large in any way. The text is red that matches the album image but the band name ”Slipknot” is in white that makes it very noticeable.
CD Covers Introduction
Stereotypical album covers will be very dark looking and would appeal to the audience in this way. The people who are trying to sell this genre of music would show some sinister looking images on their albums to grab the audience’s attention and draw them into buying the album with the curiosity of “I wonder what this album is about?”
Advert Post Analysis

Artist: Kasabian
Poster: West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum
This poster is a good example of how rock artists portray an image of a Dark angry rocker. The poster above is from the English rock band: "Kasabian" who were promoting their new album: The West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum. Instantly, you can recognize that the band is trying to portray the stereotypical "Rocker" image in many different ways. Firstly, the band members are all dressed in quite dark clothing. This is a feature of many rock-bands as rock is commonly associated with quite dark, aggressive songs. Secondly, the fact that all the band members have long dark hair emphasizes they are a rock band as this too is a feature of many rock artists. Thirdly, the way that the band members are stood portrays an aggressive, angry "rockstar" look, as does their Gothic make up they are wearing. It is Clear to the audience who the main band members are as they are stood sideways looking directly at the camera. furthermore, the Lead singer seems to be dressed differently to the rest of the band members as he is wearing a black jacket with a golden leaf design, suggesting he has power over the group.

Location
Location Shots and shots we didnt use
This is the first location we chose to use for the opening scenes of the music video. This is the bedroom where we show the bully waking up from a nightmare.
This is the opposite side of the bedroom that we have used.
Above is where we used a panning shot showing the bully leaving his house.
This is a shot of the street outside the bullys house. In this shot we see the ghost( Jack) which is constantly being reminded to his problems, for the second time in the music video. (the first time is in the bedroom scene.
This is the woodland where we took some shots. We chose this location as it looks like a forest and is effective for a certain scene in the music video.
This image shows the point in which the bully stops running in the video as he appears to be worn out after running in an attempt to escape the voices he can hear.
These are our initial Ideas as to where to film the second half of our music video. In this part of the filming we film our second main character, a female bully. This will be filmed in the backstreets of Norther Quater, Manchester.
We liked this location because it is very grimy and quite a dark location. This is appropreate locations like this that match the music video. We chose this shot to be our main setting for the song during the second verse where the female character in the video is first introduced
This is another backstreet we could use in manchester, a little less grimy and possibly a bit too short to use
This is a great location to use the narrow street is good and we could use this location well for our music video
this is a good location it looks very workiing class but our idea is to use an empty backstreet to show how alone she is.
These images were possible locations for our filming but we didnt use them because of the shots we retreived from previous locations left us with no need to use them.
